SME Summit in Qatar

The first SME summit organized by the Qatar Chamber was a resounding success.

WTI was represented at this summit, and it was a great event to learn about the opportunities in the Qatar infrastructure space.  Informative presentations were made by different entities including Qatar Rail.

A very strong German delegation led by the Minister of Economy and Energy – H.E. Sigmar Gabriel, shared their experiences and hopes for a stronger partnership between the two countries.

An informative session on Family businesses and their challenges / opportunities was held on day 1.   The theme was modern management in family business.  And 3 of the leading business leader led the discussions in this session – Sheikh Turki Bin Faisal Al Thani, Al Faisal Holding Sheikh Nawaf Bin Nasser Al Thani, NBK Mohamed Al Jaidah, Jaidah Group.

With many opportunities for networking with attendees and the sponsors, the event was a great opportunity.  We made some new friends at this conference and look forward to the second edition of the summit in Doha.
